FLASH POINT (ASTM D93)
The lowest temperature at which the fuel will ignite if exposed to a flame is referred to as its flashpoint.
ASTM certified B100 must have a flashpoint greater than 266°F (130°C). Flashpoint will vary due to different feedstocks and other factors. Some biodiesel has had flashpoints greater than 300°F!
In comparison, petroleum diesel must have a flashpoint greater than only 100°F (38°C) for type #1, or 126°F (52°C) for type #2 in order to pass ASTM standards.
The higher flashpoint makes it a much safer substance than petroleum diesel to have around.
Abca BIODIESEL(TYPE P):
Flash point as reported for Abca BIODIESEL is 142.0 °C
