The RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR represents the latest algal growth technology. RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR is a modern pilot scale growth module with an operating capacity of 170 liters. It is a high performance photo bioreactor that combines easy operation with mass scale algal growth with regular monitoring and parameters control. RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR is available in manual monitoring and auto Control versions. RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR design provides optimum algal growth under indoor as well as outdoor playhouse installations. RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR raceways intended for initial inoculation culture development or programs just getting started in algae research. The culture volume is 170 liters at maximum depth of 30 cm. Stands elevate the ponds (0.6 m) to allow for easy draining to downstream processes.
EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW
RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR is based on raceway model of algal growth, which is the most cost effective method of growing algae with hi-grade transparent acrylic photo vessel design to support maximum light availability to growing algae from artificial as well as natural light sources. Growth medium is agitated at standardized movement of 4 baffles to assure proper mixing of nutrients without hampering algal call for optimum growth. An artificial light source with programmable periodic cycle operations is provided, which ensure optimum photosynthetic growth of algal cells in the suspension up to the depth of 30 cm. All the growth parameters are separately controlled to extend its operation to indoor and outdoor conditions. The smaller design allows you to operate more raceways efficiently and enables duplicate and triplicate experiments. CO2 dosing is automatically controlled by pH based control system with regular monitoring and alarm system. Power transmission from motor to baffles is performed by a belt drive.

Control Systems
RW1-170P-PHOTOBIOREACTOR is mounted on a strong base frame. It includes the photo vessel capable of holding 170 liter growth medium and agitated at a standardized flow for optimum growth. The electrically operated control systems are operational on standardized performance when the machine goes into production. A programmable artificial light source for light and dark cycle is mounted under the transparent acrylic photo vessel to produce optimum light for most of the algal strains. Regular monitoring, auto data logging and of parameter control (pH, temperature and CO2 dosing) by AlgaeMate software (available in auto Control version only).
